St Ignatius School’s March for Jesus

Students from St Ignatius High School KG-Year 6, going
on a March For Jesus

Wednesday, March 23, 2005

Children from St Ignatius KG-Year 6 School, in Walkers Road went on a March For Jesus on Thursday, 17 March. The March took the children, all waving banners and singing hymns and choruses, along Walkers Road to Melmac Street, South Church Street, and Denholm Thompson Way, and back again to St Ignatius School.

Principal of St Ignatius KG-Year 6, Jennifer Paul-O’Donnel, praised a teacher Ina Augustine for helping to organize the event. “This gives us a chance to show how important Jesus is to us.”

The school usually has a fund-raising event around this time of the year; this time the money raised was going to go to the Hurricane Relief Fund, Ms Paul-O’Donnel said. “Usually we ask for sponsorship, but this year we just asked the parents to give whatever they could, and so far, it looks as if we’ve raised CI$2,000.”
