Impressed with rehabilitative approach

Wednesday,  April 20, 2005

Dear Sir,

I have been a visitor to Grand Cayman for 10+ years and I have always felt that me and my family were as safe as could be in your Islands of Paradise.

I witnessed a situation years ago where an individual from Jamaica had assaulted a Caymanian resident and he was off the island the next day.

I’m very impressed with your zero tolerance policy in dealing with crime/drugs on your islands. I’m also impressed with your genuine rehabilitative approach to those involved in Drugs and your Country’s genuine concern about the families involved.

Keep up the great work and I cannot wait to bring my family back to visit again soon.

We were praying for all of you during the Hurricane as we are/were no strangers to the awful storms as we live in Florida and were hit pretty directly by three of them last year. Nothing can compare to what your country has dealt with but please know we are praying for you.

Walter L. Gilfedder, Jr.
Ponce Inlet, Florida.
