Express delivers again for local cricket

Nicola Anderson, ERS manager, cricket coach
Theo Cuffy and Steve Blair of Money Express

Tuesday,  May  10, 2005

Express Remittance Services, the local agents for Money Express, is pleased to sponsor the Cayman Islands Cricket Association League again this year.

For the past five years Express Remittance has sponsored the local league along with the knockout Tournament and another five-figure cheque was handed over recently to further the Association’s ambitions.
Steve Blair, a director in the Company, was instrumental in bringing Cricket to local Television in 1993 and his love for sports and cricket has brought about this relationship between Money Express and the Cricket Association.

Mr Blair, who one day dreams of being a sponsor for the West Indies Cricket Team, is happy to be sponsoring the local League as he believes that more and more Caymanians are getting involved and hopefully one day the League will produce an individual or team that will play at the highest level of the game.

Coach Cuffy, the technical director of local Cricket said the Association is extremely pleased to have Money Express, in particular Steve Blair, over the years assisting the development of local cricket and maintaining the tradition of the private sector’s involvement in the future of our youth and the country.

Cuffy went on to say that along with the Cricket Association he thanked Money Express for their five years of commitment to cricket and he prayed that the relationship would continue.

Money Express is a part of the Capitol and Credit Financial Group in Jamaica, who are also sponsors of the Jamaican National Limited Overs Tournament.

The Money Transfer Company which sends Money around the world is located in the Burke Maude Plaza on Shedden Road with sub agents on Eastern Avenue in shop number 10 in the Nixon Plaza behind the Texaco Station. They are also located at the Airport at Marksman Security.
