This political campaign has had its ups and downs for all the candidates and it has been a tough battle in the wake of Ivan. With so many issues up for debate the political meetings have been well attended and the interest in the political battlefield has been widespread.
The candidates have been on the hustings for several weeks and since the race began in earnest the campaign has not let up. From the Cayman Islands Chamber of Commerce District Forums, where candidates were grilled directly by the people, to radio and TV appearances and their own orchestrated meetings, all of the candidates have been doing their best to convince the electorate that they should vote for them.
The polling station doors will open tomorrow at 7 am and the campaign trail finally reaches its end, as the candidates wait with baited breath for the results which will determine their political fate for the next four years.
