Kaibo not involved in snorkel accident

Tuesday, May 24,  2005

The Kaibo Yacht Club has been inadvertently drawn into the recent coverage of the horrific snorkelling accident, which took place in George Town Harbour during a wakeboard tournament, by mistake.

Originally the event had been scheduled to take place in the water near the Kaibo Yacht Club’s Beach front location, but bad weather resulted in the organizers moving the event from the North of the Island to Rackhams in George Town Harbour.

Kaibo Yacht Club had no connection or involvement with the competition or the tragic incident, which took place. Cayman Net News apologises for any inference of that from the article that appeared on Wednesday 18 May, which said Kaibo, were the organisers of the event. We would like to confirm that they were not.
