Dear Sir,

Together, with no doubt hundreds of other Indies Suites Club members, I received a letter from Ronnie Foster (owner) stating that due to insurance difficulties and lack of funds, the Indies Suites were not being rebuilt and had in fact been sold on an “as is” basis.

I cannot describe how astounded I was to receive and still cannot quite believe it. Many, many members have invested in the Indies over the years, paying annual maintenance fees and contributed considerably to the coffers of the Cayman Islands and Ronnie Foster himself — indirectly part-funding the various other property and commercial ventures undertaken by him.

He cannot simply state how sorry he is and hope that we cherish the good times we spent there. I am sure that there will be a number of high-level lawyers amongst the membership whom I hope will be in a much better position than most to see if something can be done to compensate the members for their losses, be this via some degree of insurance payout or from his personal assets, which I am sure will not have been so affected.
