Bring on the gun amnesty

Dear Sir,

I was pleased to read that a gun amnesty is in the works, as the police commissioners says even if we were to take only one or two guns off the streets that could save someone’s life. My only disappointment is that we seem to have to wait until almost the end of the year before this will happen. Why the delay? We need it now, we need guns off our streets, especially after so many reports recently of firearms being used in crimes and robberies, it is really frightening, and I think we need to address the gun issue now, today not in November.
