Pet of the Week

Robert the kitten

Friday,  July 1, 2005

This week’s pet of the week is the calm, cool and collected feline answering to the name of Robert. This Top Cat came to the Cayman Islands Humane Society shelter a few months ago as a stray.

He was initially classified as feral but staff at the shelter soon at found out he wasn’t undomesticated, but was just a little shy.

In the few months that Robert has been with the team at the Humane Society he has come out of his shell quite a bit.

Although Robert is still a little bit shy, he never turns down an opportunity to be held by our visitors or a scratch behind the ears.

Robert is the ideal house cat; he is very independent and will not be in anyone’s way. He gets along well with his roommate Albert, who you may recognise from last week’s pet of the week. His beautiful coloring and little white painted paws make him hard to resist. Robert enjoys spending his afternoons grooming Albert and taking afternoon naps after a big lunch. (well who doesn’t).

Just like Albert, Robert has been vaccinated and neutered and is very eager to go to a new home.

If you would like to offer Robert a home or any of the other pets featured so far then please contact the Humane Society on 949 1461.
