LETTER TO THE EDITOR

Sergeant Best sets the record straight

Thursday,  July 7, 2005

Dear Sir,

On Wednesday 29th June 2005, a letter to the editor appeared in a copy of the Cayman Net News captioned “Stop Complaining and do your job” signed by C Best.

The letter inferred that the author is a serving police officer with the same first initial as I Sergeant Charles Best of the Bodden Town Police Station. I have been inundated with calls from serving police officers and members of the public who assumed that I was the author.

I wish to make it clear that I was not responsible, or had nothing to do with the published letter and ask that you publish my letter on a point of clarity.
I remain a committed and dedicated serving member of the Royal Cayman Islands Police Service with over 25 years police experience.

Charles Best
Sergeant
Royal Cayman Islands Police Service
