Prospect Primary Summer School celebrates 10 years

Children from Year Three sing the Synonym Song
Tuesday,  August 9, 2005

The Prospect Primary Summer School celebrated 10 years on Thursday 4 August, with a special event, that included poetry, reading and singing.

Certificates were also given out later in the event.

After Mr Walker, the principal of the school, welcomed everybody, the whole student body joined in the chirpy chorus of the AEIOU song.

Year three followed with the Synonym Song, so that anybody who didn’t know what a synonym was would certainly know by the time the song was finished.

Year three then began, one by one, to give creative writing and poetry presentations, reading out creative compositions, poems and essays about various topics that they had written.

Year Four then took part in a dramatic presentation, and Year Five and Year Six joined together with a special poem about Syllables.

After the presentation of certificates, the closing remarks were given by Margaret Garcia, who is the coordinator of the summer school.
