Young people from The National Drug Council were busy in the war against drugs outside the National Drug Council office in George Town on Monday 8 August. They were selling bracelets with the slogan “One choice drug free,” written on them.

“We are taking registrations for our summer camp,” Shanette Rankin said. “We will be having a motivational speaker, Ray Lozano, come here from California,” she added.

“The money from the sale of the wrist bands will go towards covering the costs of the camp,” Theresa Byrd explained.

Fear Less Summer Camp will take place from 15 through 19 August, at the Family Life Centre, Walkers Road.

The camp will include Fearless Factor games, field trips, seminars, basic drug education, career education, and what are called “Visioning exercises,” which involve a commitment to vision, and putting visions into action. The camp will end with a special, “No Booz Cruz.”

Space for the camp is limited. More information about registration is available by calling 949 9000.
