FA and CONCACAF offer International Coaching Course

The English Football Association (FA) in conjunction with CONCACAF will be offering the FA-CONCACAF International Coaching License Course in Trinidad from 10 to 21 September 2005.

The course will consist of tutorial sessions complemented by audio-visual presentations plus practical sessions encompassing techniques demonstration, skills practice, small-sided games and phases of play.

Topics to be covered include:

Field skills including passing, support, dribbling, ball control and movement

Positional skills including goalkeeping, defending, attacking and shooting
Coaching planning and preparation

First Aid

Fitness and Nutrition

Laws of the Game

Strategies and Tactics

The course is intended for individuals with some form of coaching experience, at least a basic coaching certificate, but preferably with experience at the national level. Upon completion, each successful delegate will be presented with the highly regarded FA International Coaching License certificate. Holders of this certificate may then be recommended for progression to the FA’s Advanced Coaching Course, held in the UK. The advanced certificate is recognised as equivalent to UEFA’s “A” coaching award.

Interested and qualified individuals are invited to submit their CVs to the Cayman Islands Football Association at the Truman Bodden Sports Complex no later than Monday August 29th, either by fax to 945-7673, e-mail cifa@candw.ky or hand delivery.
