The Stingray Swim Club
The Stingray Swim Club will hold registration for the 2005-2006 swim year on Monday 12 September through Friday 16 September from 4:00-5:30 pm at the Lions Pool. Both parent and child must be present for registration, as each swimmer will be sized for the club swimsuit and gear, which is included with your registration fees. Registration fees will also include membership in the Cayman Islands Amateur Swimming Association.
Exhibit at the Westin Casuarinas
Gordon Solomon, Caymanian Fine Artist, is inviting everyone to attend his first Solo Exhibit which will be held at the Westin Casuarinas Resort & Spa at the Grand Opening of “True Colours” on Wednesday 14 September at 7:00 pm.
Cayman Islands Girls Brigade Council
The Cayman Islands Girls Brigade Council would like to invite all girls between the ages of 5-18 to come and join them for weekly wholesome and fun-filled activities. National Gallery Needs Sculpting Apprentices
The National Gallery is seeking two apprentices to understudy professional sand sculptors from the company Sanding Ovations in the U.S. Applicants must be Caymanian and at least 16 years old. For more information email

National Trust Caymanian Cooking Class
A local celebrity chef will be demonstrating the art of preparing a traditional Caymanian dish on Wednesday 14 September at 7:00 pm. Recipe and sample of the finished product included. National Gallery Courses
The National Gallery is offering the following continuing education courses starting the week of 12 September: Introduction to Drawing, Introduction to Acrylic Painting, Introduction to Ceramics, Introduction to Photography, Life Drawing, Introduction/Intermediate Relief Printmaking, and Creative Sculpture. Teen Scholarships on offer at National Gallery
Two “Teen Scholarships” are available for each of the continuing education courses on offer at the National Gallery Education Centre. Scholarships are on a first come, first serve basis provided applicants meet specified criteria. Contact Tracy at 945-8111 or email

Meetings at Family Life Centre
All are invited to come and hear Pastor Fran from 15 September to 21 September at the Family Life Centre from 7:30 pm. There will be no meetings on 17 and 18 September.
Department for Counselling Services Workshop
The Department for Counselling Services’ Counselling Centre is offering a two-day workshop for married couples or those in committed relationships to improve their conflict resolution skills. The course dates are Wednesday 14 September from 6:00-8:00 pm and Saturday 17 September from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm. Cost is $25.00 per couple. Call Susan Schlosser at 949-8789 for more information.
The Cayman Drama Society
The Cayman Drama Society will be hosting a Murder Mystery Dinner Theatre “All Over But the Shooting” on Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 September at the Prospect Playhouse, Red Bay, at 7:30 pm. Tourism World Beauty Pageant
Elite Productions presents The Miss Cayman Islands Tourism World Beauty Pageant 2005, which will take place at Pedro St James on 24 September at 7:30 pm. Tickets at Reflections 1-2-3, Lorna’s Fashions, Annie’s Beauty Center and also at the gate.
National Pensions Office and Health Insurance relocation
The public is advised that the offices of the National Pensions Office (NPO) and the Health Insurance Commission (HIC) will relocate early in September. The new offices will be located on the second floor, Anderson Square, at 64 Shedden Road. The phone and fax numbers as well as the email addresses will remain the same.
National Museum’s Gift Shop
The National Museum’s Gift Shop will be open Tuesdays through Fridays from 9:00 am until 5:00 pm. The shop will be closed Mondays and Saturdays until further notice. The Museum apologizes for any inconvenience this will cause. For emergencies please call 949-8368/925-7628.

The Business & Professional Women’s Club has organized a Silent Witness March, which will take place on Tuesday 18 October. The March commences at 12:00 noon from the lawns of the Government Administration Building and concludes at the Legislative Assembly. Public Transport Permits
The Department of Vehicle Licensing and Transport is informing all public transport owners and operators that renewal permits are ready for pick-up at the office on Walkers Road. Hours 8:30 am to 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday. The cost is $40. For more information call 945-8344.
Pink Ladies Volunteer Corps
Would like to inform the public that their Pink Hibiscus Coffee Shop located at George Town Hospital has been relocated within the Hospital. It is open five and a half days a week and situated in the old X-Ray Department opposite the Mental Health Department just along from the Women’s Centre. The new telephone number is 329-3491 and telephone orders for take-away food are always welcome.
CINICO
The Health Services Authority (HSA) is reminding all participants in the CINICO Health Insurance Plan, including Civil Servants, that they are required to present their CINICO benefits card when registering for service at any HSA facility.
