Errol Gayle has being sculpting his body for more than a
dozen years and has attributed his success in doing it to a simple
straightforward philosophy.
“Work Hard! Play Hard! With several years of competitive
body building experience in Jamaica, a certified Personal Trainer and
certified by the Jamaica Ministry of Youth and Community in Nutrition, Errol
believes that the key to enjoying exercise is to try different things, be
spontaneous and always have fun working hard.
He has had many success stories as a result of his style
of training over the years.
“Errol is a great trainer,” said Elsie Solomon-Hyde, a
client who lost 57 pounds in seven months under Errol’s training regimen.
She is definitely a great client to work with. I am proud
of her success,” Errol responded with humility.
When he tells his clients to work hard it is because he
knows that’s what needs to be done.
In a given day he might have as many as fifteen clients
who need his undivided attention.
“I get personal satisfaction from watching my clients
working hard to achieve their goals,” he said earnestly.
Added to his list of clients is Kingslyn Mitchell, a
friend and an amateur Light Weight competitor for the upcoming World’s
Champion in New York slated for November. For Errol the intensity of his work
gets even harder preparing someone for a competition. “It’s great working with
Kingslyn,” he said.
Both men have high expectations going into this
competition. A police Officer with the Royal Cayman Island Police, Kingslyn
Mitchell is a first timer to the champion league and is relying on Errol’s
experience to successfully take him there. According to both men, they are
working overtime to make sure that Kingslyn’s presence is ‘felt’ in New York
on 12 November.
“Its not an ordinary workout anymore,” said Errol. “It’s
not about sizes. It is about muscles. We zoom in on the individual muscles and
fine-tune them in a specific way.”
The Jamaican In Cayman visited the World’s Gym to observe
them as they did their daily routine, which included Free Motion Chest Press
and the Free Motion Cable Cross to work on chest definition and leg raises,
which create a well-defined stomach.
A fifteen-pound dumb bell is added to Kingslyn’s leg
weight to increase muscle activity. “Right now, Mitch has a flat stomach,”
Errol explained. “The muscles are not clearly defined. This workout will give
him a six pack or wash board stomach.”
He has recommended a diet with low protein and complex
fat but high carbohydrate for Kingslyn and recommends that he eats every
two-hours. “Kingslyn is a special case. He has a very high metabolism. Not
many people would eat the amount of carbs he eats and maintain the amount of
body fat that he has,” he said.
The men will be showing off their success on 5 November
in the Champion For The Guys competition here in the Cayman Islands in
preparation for the show in New York.
