Pet of the Week

Fred the Puppy

Fred the Puppy
Friday,  October 14, 2005

This little cutie is only four months old and answers to the name of Fred. He has, sadly, had a few upheavals in his short life and is in need of a very special home where he will be loved and cared for.

Fred is currently recovering from a broken leg, caused by a car accident. His previous family could no longer afford to keep him and asked the Humane Society to care for him and find him a new family.

Fred is currently residing with a foster family while his leg mends and he loves interacting with the family’s other dogs and young child –he is an extremely sweet and playful pup.

As well as benefiting from socialising, Fred is being crate trained and house trained by his foster folks. He has a little way to go but he’s getting there - he is a very smart boy!

Fred is a ‘Cayman Dog’ with a gorgeous reddish shorthaired coat and has been neutered. Just look at those ears, he is so kissable!

The Humane Society has recommended that Fred be adopted by a family who will invite him in to their home to live alongside them, as he is a family dog who, like all dogs, needs to be part of a family and NOT confined to a life of solitude outside.

Please contact us to find out more about Fred, or if you are interested in fostering call 949 1461 or drop by the Shelter on North Sound Road.
