Emmie Mae Walton

Though born and raised in North Side, Emmie Mae Walton now calls Cayman Brac her home, having lived there for the past 41 years.

Ms Walton says she went there when she married Leroy Walton, whom she met in Grand Cayman. At first she said she, “got homesick,” because her husband was away at sea with the National Bulk Carrier. She used to go home quite often and still likes to visit her old friends and her large family in North Side.

She and her husband raised three sons and two daughters, and now they have thirteen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

“Cayman Brac is a nice place to live,” she said.
