  • The Pirates Week 5k run will take place on Friday 28 October. Registration for the event will take place form 4:00 pm at South Terminal on Harbour Drive, with the run starting at 5:30 pm. The route follows South Church to the turnaround at Smith Cove, back along South Church, right into Denham Thompson, left down Walkers Rd, left into Memorial, right into South Church, and back to the finish at South Terminal.
  • The Kiwanis bike-a-thon will take place on Saturday 29 October. The event will start from East End Primary School at 7:00 am and end at Smith’s Cove 21 miles later. A $25 pledge guarantees entry and a t-shirt. Participants can drop their bikes at the Kiwanis trailer at the Drivers Licensing Building from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Friday. They can then take the bus from Smith Cove to East End at 6:00 am on Saturday, where their bikes will be waiting. 
  • The Texaco Pirates Week 5k Sea Swim celebrates its 25th year on Saturday 29 October. Registration for the swim will take place from 7:00 am to 7:45 am on the beach opposite the Courtyard Marriot, with CIASA members paying CI$10 for adults and CI$5 for children. Non-members pay CI$15 for adults and CI$10 for children. The start is at 8:00 am.
  • The 20/20 Cayman Style cricket tournament continues on Saturday 29 October at the Jimmy Powell Oval, with West Bay taking on Welly’s ICC at 11:00 am, followed by Winfair versus Esso at 2:15 pm.
  • On Sunday 30 October, Harry’s will take on Wellys at 12:00 pm at Smith Road Oval in a special ‘H’Ashes’ match.
  • The Foster’s National League will see four games taking place on Sunday 30 October. Roma will take on FC International at 1:30 pm at the Annex, followed by Academy versus Sunset. North Side will take on Money Express in East End, followed by East End versus Bodden Town
  • The Mike Lockwood Memorial International swim meet will take place from 4 to 6 November at the Lions Pool. The meet kicks will run from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm on Saturday, and will enter its final session on 8:00 am on Sunday.
  • Cayman Storm will play BPC Buccaneers in the fourth game of the Alex Alexander Cup on Saturday 5 November at 4:30 pm. Both teams were beaten in their first game of the season, and will be looking for revenge this time around. The game takes place at the South Sound Rugby Club.
  • The Butterfield Bank International Triathlon will take place on Sunday 27 November. There will be an Olympic standard as well as a sprint event for teams and individuals. Online entries are now open on www.active.com or go to www.caymantri.com.ky for more information.
