- Trying to locate Desmond Chambers
I am trying to locate Desmond Chambers, last known address was George Town, and last time we spoke was in 1992 when he came to Jamaica.

- Obliviously headed for oblivion?
Checking the crime reports page in the Compass today, it’s obvious that what you’re talking about is a serious problem. Rape, assault, drugs, etc. Glad I don’t live on your island country.

- More about tsunamis and the Caribbean
I work in New Jersey, and a co-worker has family in Trinidad and Tobago. She said her Mom indicated that a large 25+ foot wave crashed on Maracas Beach in Trinidad within the past 2-5 days, burying cars and destroying shops. I could find no mention of this at all in the Trinidad news websites. Have you heard anything to this effect?
- Marvin Horner
Editor’s note: Please see the following story carried on our sister website, Caribbean Net News:

- Tenants fight back
Can you email back with the names of the two major law firms taking tenant cases?
- Marvel Ebanks
Editor’s note: Unfortunately, we are not at liberty to divulge the names of the law firms mentioned in our article. However, if you have a legal dispute of this nature most local law firms would be able to help you.

- Wilma scares Cayman
How are the roads and the houses and everything else in Grand Cayman? I have all my family there, but I live in Florida and the last time I spoke to anyone on the Island was Sunday. Thanks for your time.
- Joycelyn Becker
Editor’s note: From all indications no one was injured during the storm. Some of the roads were flooded and some businesses got water damage as a result. We were out of phone service for a while over the weekend.
- Keeping up to date with the Bracker
I read “The Bracker” every week and really enjoy the supplement. My family and I have been visiting Cayman Brac for 10 years and have met many wonderful Caymanians. Our dream came true two years ago when we built our “winter” home on the North side. What a thrill to see articles on people we know and love! Also, it helps us plan trips if we see something exciting happening! So don’t forget that we “snow birds” use “The Bracker” to keep up to date on what is happening on our favorite Island! Keep up the great work!

- Cayman has not chosen the wiser path
In response to Richard Smith of Dallas, Texas, attack on gun control. Maybe he wasn’t aware that the United States has the 8th highest number of murders with firearms per capita in the world, 0.02 per 1,000 whilst those with strict controls fair much better, such as the United Kingdom, 32nd, which averages 0.00 per 1,000. We don’t want to carry guns, we don’t need a means of killing each other, we thankfully are not the US and we want to remove guns from the Island.

- Bird Flu not an immediate threat to Cayman
Surely to nip such pandemic in the bud would be for human greed to be overcome and no more breeding of chickens… it’s easier to say go vegan and grow own… see Vegan Organic Network website!

- Wilma confirms recent environmentalists’ concerns over storm intensity
It is obvious that hurricanes have become more frequent as well as more intense. Is it also possible that the hurricane season may also be lengthened due to green house gases? In Canada where I live, winters are much more mild than years ago and warmer weather for spring and autumn. I hate to say it, but I would think that this would hold true for the summers in the Caribbean.

- Wilma Scares Cayman
Excellent coverage from your writers. We live in Dallas, Texas but own a fractional interest in a condo at Treasure Island. So, feel as deeply concerned as the residents. Thanks again! Excellent news coverage!
