Over 20 businesses served up a variety of gift ideas at
the Marriott Resort last week on 27 October, at the ‘What Women Want’
exposition organised by Hurley’s Entertainment.
From a simple medical examination to a glass of wine or a
taste of chocolate and gift ideas, the audience of mostly women livened up the
five-hour event.
Marketing Director of Island Companies, Mark Lewis-Jones,
expressed delight with the turnout as scores flocked to his booth.
“We are very pleased with the brilliant turnout for that
I think we know what women want,” he said.
Another company that displayed its version of what women
want was Standard By Atlantic.
“We are offering a bit of everything like gift items,
lingerie, toys, and something for everyone, ” said Dot Japal, manager of
Standard By Atlantic.
Ryan Lennox, who manned a booth of sports equipment, also
had an opportunity to observe what interested the women who showed up.
“Women want chocolates, rum and wine from what I can see
here,” he said.
Michael Rodrigues came with friends to find answers on
hearing of the theme for the exposition.
“It met my expectations, you see different things for
women. Of course I now know what women want,” he said.
Nurse Lorna Taylor, who performed basic checkups for the
patrons, had an advice for the men who still don’t know what women want.
“Every woman is different so a man needs to take time out
to study his woman. A woman is highly motivated when a man loves her,” she
said.
