Pirates wet yet again

Pirates missed the party on Wednesday evening as
rain put a damper on things yet again.

The postponed events from the opening events of Pirates Week, which was due to start on Friday 28 October, and had been re-scheduled for Wednesday 2 November, were postponed again as the wet weather continued to plague Grand Cayman.

Wednesday�s pirate capers were deferred again as the rain had damaged some of the special effects and preparations on Wednesday afternoon were badly interrupted by torrential rain yet again.

As a result the events are to be shoe-horned into the busy Schedule for Saturday 5 November, if fingers crossed, the weather takes a turn for the better and gives Cayman�s buccaneers a chance.

Saturday�s schedule is as follows:

2:30 Pre-landing celebrations; 3:30 Landing Pageant; 4:30 Float Parade; 5:30 Festival Queen; 6:30 Trial of Pirates; 7:00 Firework display; 7:30 Song Festival; 8:30 � Midnight Street Dance.
