LETTER TO THE EDITOR

Congratulations from Liberia for The Jamaican in Cayman

Thursday,  November 10, 2005

Dear Sir,

I must congratulate you for starting something like that, it has been long overdue. We will love to see that in all other countries where Jamaicans live.

I lived in Jamaica when I was 8 to 14. I lived in Montgomery, and my grand parents who were missionaries. I will always love Jamaica because Jamaica is in me and will always be.

Right now I live in Liberia and work with the United Nations. We have some Jamaicans here working with the UN and one Jamaican woman is the wife of a current presidential aspirant, George Weah. His wife is Clair Ducan-Weah. Pray for us that the young man wins and we will have a Jamaican become first lady here. Did you know that half of the Liberian populace can boast of a Jamaican background ?
