The newest addition to Esso’s group of stations in the Cayman Islands officially opened its doors recently on Walkers Road.

Customers at the New On the Run station enjoyed a day of music, bouncing castles, carousel rides, clowns with balloons, face painting, food samplings and visits from characters such as Spongebob Squarepants, Elmo, Dora the Explorer and Spiderman.

The public also had the chance to win $25 gift certificates for free gas and enjoy combo specials being sold in the On The Run Café throughout the day.

“We are thrilled to be a part of the Esso family, and are looking forward to serving this community,” said Peter South, Manager of Mike’s Esso.

“Customers can expect efficient, friendly service and of course, great food, from Mike’s Esso. In addition, I encourage everyone to listen out for new, convenience services that we will be offering very soon.”

“Esso is very pleased to continue to invest in Cayman’s long term success with the latest ‘On The Run’ store on Walkers Road and we look forward to working with Mike Brown and Peter South in their new venture as Mike’s Esso,” said Esso Country Manager Alan Neesome of the new station.

“This new location offers even more convenience to Esso customers in the area who will benefit greatly from the wide range of offerings including fresh hot and cold sandwiches made to order, fried chicken, pizza, great tasting Green Mountain coffee, grocery items and much, much more. I wish to congratulate the management and employees of Mike’s Esso OTR on an enjoyable grand opening day.”

Customers visiting this latest On the Run station will also have the opportunity to win a wave runner with Esso’s latest promotion.

The gas company is giving away two Yamaha wave runners complete with trailers to customers this holiday season as part of its six-week Ride On promotion. With a minimum purchase of $25 of fuel customers are eligible to enter the draw with a chance to win.

Drivers who top up on fuel between 3:00pm and 4:00pm on Tuesdays at participating stations during the promotion will receive a “Happy Hour” flashlight gift.

“The Ride On promotion is one of our best campaigns yet,” said Mr Neesome.

“Wave runners are ideal prizes for life on the water around Cayman and should be the perfect New Year’s gift for two lucky customers. Six weeks give Esso customers plenty of opportunities to enter to win a wave runner each time they buy 25$ or more in fuel. Everyone should listen to the radio for chances to win free fuel, and customers picking up the kids from school, why not drop by and top up at your nearest participating Esso station during the Tuesday “Happy Hour” giveaways, and collect your free flashlight gift?”

The prize wave runner, a Yamaha XL700 will be on display at participating stations during the promotion and the winners will be announced at the beginning of the New Year.

“We are very excited about all of the elements of this holiday promotion. At Esso we aim to provide high quality petroleum products with the best service to the motorist and boat owner as well as offer a wide range of convenience merchandise. This holiday promotion is an opportunity for Esso and the Esso dealers to thank all their customers who support the Esso service stations throughout the year,” added Mr. Neesome.

Stations participating in the Ride On promotion are Seven Mile Esso; the new Delworth’s On the Run; Industrial Park On The Run; On The Run at Red Bay, David’s Esso on Crewe Road, Mike’s Esso On The Run, Walkers Road; Jack’s Esso North Side; Hell’s Esso West Bay and Jose’s Service Centre on Crewe Road.
