The sale of the calendar will also help raise funds for the Rotary Club of Grand Cayman.

“We have teamed up with Cayman’s top retailers for local distribution.  Everyone is impressed with the quality and very optimistic that the 2006 calendars will be a big seller this year”, said project coordinator, Melissa Wolfe.

Just in time for the season, the 2006 calendars are the perfect Christmas gift.  For posting overseas, the calendars were designed to fit conveniently into a standard 9x12 envelope for efficient mailing.  The cost to mail a calendar to United States or Canada is approximately CI$4, with plenty of time still available for arrival before Christmas Day.

“Overseas friends and family appreciate having a piece of Cayman for the entire year.  The 2006 calendar is a handy and affordable way to surprise those so far away with a gift that reflects on life in Cayman”, adds Melissa Wolfe

Locally, calendars can be purchased at Hobbies and Books the Piccadilly Bookshop, Books by the Bay at Grand Harbour, all Fosters Food Fair locations, Kirk Supermarket, Cayman Camera, Celebrations, Hot Tropics, Tropical Trader, Pirate’s Grotto, Red Sail Sports, Blue Iguana Souvenir Outlet and Picture This.  Calendars can also be purchased from members of the Rotary Sunrise Club.  Stores interested in retailing the 2006 calendar are asked to call Melissa Wolfe at 916-8335 or email goodidea@candw.ky

The 12-month calendar features photographs that cover various districts around Grand Cayman and include pictures of Little Cayman and Cayman Brac.  In addition to raising money for the Rotary Club, another goal is to use the quality product to promote the Cayman Islands in a positive way.
