Local telecoms operator Cable & Wireless said that they have restructured their international direct dialing (IDD) prices. The firm said that calls to frequently called destinations, such as the USA, Canada, UK, Ireland, Turks & Caicos and Jamaica will start at 25 cents per minute and calls to other destinations such as the Philippines & Honduras start at 35 cents.
With the introduction of the new IDD pricing, Cable & Wireless also reduces the number of time bands available to ‘Peak’ and ‘Off Peak. The Peak rate applies to calls made M-F between 8:00am and 6:00pm. Off Peak rates applies to calls made from 6:00pm to 8:00am, evenings, weekends & public holidays.
“These excellent, value for money rates will be the same whether you call from your mobile or residential fixed line phone,” said Alfred Bodden, Cable & Wireless’ Voice Services Product Manager.
“Customers can also receive an additional 33 percent off after the first $5 by dialling 10 10 335 before the international phone number from their fixed line phone.
“We pride ourselves on being the most reliable provider of international direct dialling, with great value. The new rate structure will not only provide our customers with substantial savings, but will allow them to call at the same rate from any C&W phone.”
