Dis a one cool Jamaican

Juliet Rattray

Wednesday,  February 22, 2006

Arriving on Grand Cayman six months, ago Jamaican-born Juliet Rattray is developing a career in reflexology, which is a non-intrusive form of healing therapy.

Working at Salon Novell, Mrs Rattray has completed a certificate course at the Reflexology Association of Canada (RAC) the Jamaica chapter. She holds a licence in the field from the said Association.

Reflexology is the application of pressure, stretch and movement to the feet and hands to effect corresponding parts of the body. Reflexologists view the feet and hands as a mirror image of the body. By applying the technique, a reflexologist can break up patterns of stress in other parts of the body.

Mrs Rattray said that she can tell what is happening inside the body just by touching the feet.

“Apart from assisting the body to heal, reflexology relaxes the body and reduces stress,” she said.
