Witnesses wanted to fatal crash

Monday,  February 27, 2006

Police are appealing for witnesses after a car crashed killing its two occupants in the early hours of Friday morning 20 February.

The 911 Emergency Control Centre received a call from a resident in Conch Point Road, West Bay, at approximately 1:30 am who said a car had crashed outside her home. The centre dispatched all three emergency services to the scene.

One vehicle, a black, 2004 model, Mazda 3 was found on its side after apparently hitting a tree and ricocheting into a post.

The two male passengers were pronounced dead on arrival at George Town Hospital.

Police would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident or saw or heard the car prior to the crash.

Anyone who can help police should contact George Town Police Station on 949-4222 or Crime Stoppers on 800 TIPS (8477).
