Lord Wedgwood visits the Wedgwood Gallery

Lord Wedgwood encourages staff at the Wedgwood
Gallery at Kirk Freeport

Friday,  March 10, 2006

Lord Wedgwood, the ambassador and international spokesman for the Wedgwood china company, has been staying in Grand Cayman to visit the company’s retail outlet at Kirk Freeport’s Wedgwood Gallery, as well as the other Wedgwood retail outlets on the Island.

The purpose of his visit has been to meet with customers, and to encourage retail staff at the store. Lord Wedgwood has also been kept busy, signing his name on many different pieces of Wedgwood pottery.

The Wedgwood company is the legacy of Lord Wedgwood’s forefather, Josiah Wedgwood who founded the company in 1759 in Staffordshire, England.

“We are about to celebrate our 250th anniversary,” Mr Wedgwood said. “We enjoy a special relationship with our customers, both those that live here, as well the ones who come to visit.

“We are committed to the goal of quality in excellence in design and manufacture,” he added.”.
