LETTER TO THE EDITOR

Dolphin slavery

Tuesday,  March 14, 2006

Dear Sir,

At a time when the Cayman Islands are having to take on board human rights and having to address the real issues of human rights we start planning to bring in dolphins, captured, confined, and condemned.

Dolphin confinement must be considered as an act of slavery and its so ironic that the Caribbean region is linked to the history of slavery.

The Cayman Islands is planning not just one dolphin prison but perhaps up to five places of dolphin slavery that will capture the world’s attention, confine tourist attractions to circus type activities and condemn the people of the Cayman Islands for bringing back mass slavery.

What on earth are we doing?
