The Esso Tigers did well to narrowly escape a thrashing on Saturday,from the Esso Wildcats with a 15-13 scoreline at the West BaySoftball field.
The Tigers walked confidently onto the fieldtaking the less experienced Wildcats for granted, which provedto be a mistake as the Cats pounced in the opening inning sendingthe Tigers to the dugout scoreless.
With the Wildcats at the batting plate BronnieRobbins stole two bases, recording a run. The Wildcats receivedtwo more runs, taking them three up.
However, the sleeping Tigers were awakeningand they took complete control of the game going from 0 to 15in a seeming flash.
Then around the seventh inning and downby 10 runs the Wildcats managed to close the gap for a 15-13 score.
