Areobathon raises$9,000

200 peoplesupport the Lions Club Aerobathon
More than 2000 people turned up to takepart in the Lions Club of Tropical Gardens Aerobathon 2001 atthe Royal Palms on Saturday.
The music and the fantastic instructors had those taking partpumping and jumping to the beat of the two-hour workout session.
Pasty Ann Jackson took home the first place prize, Caribbean Cruisefor two, raising the most sponsorship money to the sweet tuneof $3,160. Denise Sprint fundraising efforts netted her the secondplace prize, two round trip tickets to any Cayman Airways destination,raising $1,778; Eva McHugh was third, raising $1,445, which wasa weekend for two at the Morritt's Tortuga. Debbie Bergstrom wasfourth earning at total of $314.15 taking home the tickets fortwo to Cayman Brac. And anyone who raised over $50 was rewardedwith a hat and towel courtesy of Cable & Wireless.
Pat Bazell Taylor, fundraising chairman of the Lions Club of TropicalGardens said: "It was a super day. The rain held off to 9am. The instructors were phenomenal and David Mr. Motivation Esselwas added spice."
"We raised just under $9,000 which will go towards the Clubsprogrammes especially Public awareness for the youth and geriatricsprogrammes. Plus the scholarship for one of the women in the YoungParents Programme."
