Burnout2001, one of the entertainers
The Third Annual Burnout Talent Show heldat the Lions Club on Saturday evening was an immense success accordingto organisers.
The event, organised by John Gray High School Home School Associationand drama teacher Nasaria Suckoo, entertained a crowd of 500 people.
With categories ranging from Art, Praise, Poems, Singing/Rap,Mono, Costumes, Modeling and Dance - the appreciative audiencewas well captivated and amused throughout. Nearly 50 young peopleentered the show including three teams Danger, Da Ishh andDynasty which emerged the overall winner.
Melinda "Bondie" McField rendition of gossiping inCayman nearly brought down the house. The Kingston Drummer anda Break Dance jumper kept the crowd going with lots of oh andawes.
Bernie Bush, Tonya Mitchell, Faith Gealy, Yvette McLaughlin, andRandy Chollette were the judges.
"I thought the children did quite well. Burnout showed thatthere is a lot of talent in Cayman. We need to encourage thesekids I just hope they continue to have it every year,"said Bernie Bush, one of the judges of Burnout 2001.

WinnersBurnout 2001 were: Art - Danger, Praise - Danger, Poems - Da Ishh,Sing / Rap - Dynasty, Mono etc - Dynasty, Costume - Dynasty, Modelling- Danger, Dance - Danger, Overall Winner - Dynasty.
