Tarheels struggleto Defeat Juniors
Tarheels put one inthe basket on Tuesday night against the Juniors

Wendy Tarheels narrowly escaped a thrashingfrom the Juniors, totaling 85-79 on Tuesday at the courts offof Eastern Avenue.
The Juniors' pressed the Tarheels goingon a full attack, but it was the Heels that placed the pointson the board first with Andrew Wisdom making a direct hit. Wisdomlanded another two points, which was follow closing by Odley Blair'sthree-pointer. Tarheels seemed unstoppable almost as if they weregoing for a routing.
However, the Juniors 'got game' and answeredback with Philip Barnes swishing ball through the net finally,lighting up their side of the scoreboard for the first time. Juniorshit back again, again and again drawing the score to 22-17 inthe ninth minute of the first quarter.
The Tarheels continued to pour in the pointsover powering their young counter-parts with brute strength andcaptalising on their opponent's inexperience. Nevertheless, theJunior put a gallant fight and in a year or so the Juniors willbe the team on everyone's lips. Andrew Wisdom was the top gunfor Tarheels with 20 points with Antonio Hanna following closelywith 19. Fabian Thompson was the top scorer for Junior with 13points.
In the second game, Jammers overcame Harlem62-54. Main scores to Jammers were Damien Ebanks 22 and DelroyBrown 17. Carlos Welcome was the top scorer for 12 for Harlem.
