Cydonie Mothersill
Over the last couple of weeks Cydonie Mothersillhas proven her mettle as one of Cayman's top athletes, not infront of her home crowd at the Truman Bodden Sports Complex butinstead wooing crowds at Clemson University and at various collegetrack and field meets.
She won the NCAA Athletic Conference inthe 200 metre, assisted her team as anchorwoman in the relaysand in a coup-de-grace she captured the NCAA Division I Championshipat the University of Arkansas, winning by a clear margin withher 22.84 and 22.89 postings.
Now a senior at Clemson University she appearsto be making this a banner year for awards as she looks forwardto taking up a professional athletic career in the months to come.
We at the sports office believe that sheis doing great. She is concentrating on two races and we are hopingthat she will continue on the same line," Dalton Walton,deputy director of sports.
