Attorney Generalattends Montserrat Conference

The 11th Annual Conference of AttorneysGeneral of the United Kingdom Overseas Territories was held atthe Vue Pointe Hotel in Montserrat from Tuesday 16th April 2002to Thursday 18th April 2002.

The meeting commenced with an opening ceremony,held at the Hotel at 09.00 on Tuesday 16th April 2002. This wascheered by Kenneth Allen QC, President of the Montserrat Bar Association,with addresses by H.E. Governor Tony Longrigg CMG, Hon. ChiefMinister Dr. John Osborne and Rt. Hon. Lord Goldsmith QC, AttorneyGeneral of England and Wales. This was followed by a receptionfor the delegates and invited guests.

Attending this conference were AttorneysGeneral from Anguilla, Bermuda, British Antarctic Territory, BritishIndian Ocean Territory, British Virgin Islands, Cayman Islands,Falkland Islands, Gibraltar, Montserrat, Pitcairn Islands, St.Helena & Dependencies, South Georgia & the South SandwichIslands, Sovereign Base Areas of Akrotiri & Dhekelia (Cyprus)and Turks & Caicos Islands.
