Some of Cayman's Track and Field athleteswere in action at various venues in the United States last weekend.
At the Texas Christian University Invitationalin Fort Worth, Cydonie Mothersill was clocked in a windy 23.31for 200 meters, which was the best time recorded in the women'sdivision for that day.
Also in Texas in the Michael Johnson/SouthwesternBell Classic, at Baylor University, Leslie Ann Daley confirmedreports that she is further demonstrating her middle distancerunning for the University of Memphis. In addition to having competedat 800, 1500 and 3000 meters, Leslie has added the 3000-metersteeplechase to her list. Her time in Waco was 14:09.82.
Schwannah McCarthy left Texas to travela bit east to the L.S.U. Invitation at Baton Rouge, Louisianawhere she turned in a time of 16.12 for the 100-meter hurdlesfor Rice University.
Although Calicia Burke's midweek statisticshave not been released, an earlier statement from Fairleigh DickinsonUniversity placed the first year performer at the top of the women'steam marks for 400 meters, with 60.02 and second at 200 meterswith a best of 26.48 and runner up in the long jump at 17ft 21/4 inches, off the early outdoor competitions.
