Raffle a success for RedBay

Red Bay Parent Teacher's Association (PTA)President Ruth Grizzel with Lisa Wright-Allen who won a televisionand videocassette recorder in the PTA raffle drawing Wednesday,April 17. The raffle raised $18,000 for ongoing projects. Of this,some $4,600 will help to purchase a dialysis machine for nine-year-oldkidney patient Juan Mata-Pena, who is a year three student atthe school. In addition to the TV/VCR five other prizes were raffled.At the drawing, Mrs Grizzel thanked all community businesses andorganisations that contributed to the fund-raising event's success.

Truman Bodden Track & Field For Walkersand Joggers

As of May 1, 2002 the Truman Bodden Trackand Field will be open for healthy life style users (Walkers andJoggers) who wish to use lane 7 to 8 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 a.m.
Parents must take care of their children at all times, while inthe facility.

Comedy Tickets on Sale

Tickets to the pantomime Oliver and theUgly Genie are presently on sale at Champion House 2, FostersFood Fair (Airport and Strand locations), Funky Tangs, Reflectionsat the Mirco Centre and the Harquail Theatre tel. 949-5477. Thecomedy show, features popular Jamaican comedian Oliver Samuels,and takes place at the Harquail Theatre on Sunday, April 28, 7.30p.m. Tickets cost $22 in advance and $25 at the gate.

Chamber Seminar on "Improving Interpersonal Communications

5th Annual Chamber Roadside Clean-Up

The Cayman Islands Chamber of Commerce holdsits fifth Annual Earth Day Roadside Clean-up on Saturday, April27 from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
The first 400 volunteers to sign up will receive their choiceof a free t-shirt or cloth tote bag.
