Honours 2003Nominees Sought
His Excellency the Governor, Mr. Peter J.Smith, CBE, invites members of the public to submit nominationsfor Her Majesty the Queen's New Year Honours 2003. Nominationsmust be received by Monday, 27 May.
Final recommendations for honours and awardswithin the OBE and MBE range are considered in the United Kingdomand may or may not be accepted. Recommendations for the CaymanIslands Certificate and Badge of Honour are considered locally.
Honours nomination forms can be collectedfrom the reception desk of the Government Administration Building.Please make every effort to fully complete all relevant sections.Once completed, the forms should be submitted, under confidentialcover, to the Governor's Office.
It should be stressed that long servicealone is an insufficient reason for the granting of any award.Awards are given to members of the community who have demonstratedlevels of service that are exceptional and above and beyond whatwould normally be expected. Awards should, where possible, placeemphasis on voluntary service.
