Long ServiceRewards for Walkers Employees

Eight of Walkers Attorneys-at-Lawemployees were in the spotlight on Friday, April 26th, 2002 whenthe firm's partners recognized each of them for their many yearsof dedicated service to the firm. Long service awards were presentedto employees who had served with the firm for 10, 15 and 20 years.The 20 year award went to Donna Watler, 15 year awards were givento Doniva Bush, Tina Grant and Ian Ross and 10 year awards weregiven to Wendy Yeomans, Anne Guidry, Desiree Ebanks and Gene DaCosta.
"It is rare for staffto stay at one company for such a long period of time and we arevery excited that we are able to acknowledge as many as eightstaff members for sticking with us for over 10 years," saidMr. Grant Stein, the firm's senior partner.
Employees who have beenwith the firm for 10 years were given a Waterman engraved pen,a cheque for CI$250.00, one week's extra holiday and a bottleof champagne. Employees who had been with the firm for 15 yearswere given a crystal engraved paperweight, a cheque for CI$300.00,and a bottle of champagne.
Twenty year veterans weregiven an engraved desk clock, a cheque for CI$500.00 and a bottleof champagne.
The firm also gives a 25year service award which is a trip for the staff member and amember of their immediate family for a value of up to CI$3,000.There were no employees who fit that criteria this year.
Also given an honourablemention at the presentation was, Mrs. Alice Mae Coe, who willon June 14th, 2002, celebrate her 37th anniversary as an employeeof Walkers. Mrs. Coe joined the firm the year after it was established.On her 25th anniversary with the firm the partners gave Mrs. Coea trip to Europe to show their appreciation for her dedicatedservice to the Firm.
The presentation of awardsto the eight members of staff was made at the firm's monthly staffwine and cheese social, which is hosted each month by one of thefirm's partners. This month the social was hosted by firm partner,Wayne Panton.
