Argentina's ex-president Carlos Menem, 72, says his beauty-queen wife is pregnant

BUENOS AIRES (AFP) Argentina's former president Carlos Menem, who at 72 is again vying for the job in this month's election,
said Wednesday his wife is pregnant.
"Yes, yes," Menem told reporters, "but I'm not a specialist."
Menem married 37-year-old
Cecilia Bolocco, a Chilean beauty queen and former Miss Universe,
in May 2001.
She has been conspicously absent on the campaign trail for two
months.
Argentine media have been awash in speculation over the pregnancy for months.
Political analysts say the
campaign-period pregnancy will bolster his chances in the presidential
primary on
27 April.
