Fortis Purchases ABN-AMO'sCayman Business
FortisFund Services (Cayman) Limited concluded a deal on august 4thwhereby Fortis will acquire the fund administration business ofABN-AMRO in the Cayman Islands. Both ABN-AMRO and Fortis, previouslyknown as Mees Pierson, have consistently received high marks inthe Global Custodian report on the services of offshore fund administrators."The two businesses are very similar both in the systemswe use, the clients' profile and quality of service. This willenable a smooth integration of the two businesses' said RogerHanson, Fortis Bank (Cayman) Limited's managing director.
The transaction was signed at the offices of the law firm of SolomonHarris, who acted for fortis in the transaction.
