New publication launched forGrand Morritt's

A copy of the premiere issue of the prestigiousnew Grand Morritt's magazine was presented to the Governor, Mr.Peter Smith, by its publisher, Mrs. Nicole (nee Jackson) Salvi,in his offices at the Government Administration Building recently.
Mr. Smith said he appreciated the fact that the cover photo takenat the resort at dawn by photographer David Wolfe, featured fivelovely young Caymanian ladies: sisters Renee, Stephanie and ShariEspeut, and Ghislaine and Roshaine Jackson.
The magazine will focus a spotlight on the unique district ofEast End, Mrs. Jackson suggested to the Governor, and will helppromote the Cayman Islands in general. Mr. Smith congratulatedMrs. Salvi on the excellence and high quality of the magazine'sfirst issue.
The publication, especially for Morritt's Tortuga Club and Resort,was created via a partnership between Mrs. Salvi's new SommetPublishing and Marketing Ltd., of which she is Managing Director,and Morritt's. She has just opened Sommet's new offices in TheStrand complex, on the second floor, adjacent to the ProfessionalMedical Centre.
Grand Morritt's magazine was officially launched before an audienceof dignitaries and East End representatives, including MLA forEast End, John McLean, at a recent champagne reception at theresort. Others in attendance included the Minister for Tourism,Mr. Tom Jefferson, the Minister for Education, Mr. Truman Bodden,Tortuga Club owner David Morritt and Morritt's Worldwide CEO ChrisBowen. MLA Kurt Tibbetts served as master of ceremonies for theoccasion.
The 48-page, four-colour premiere issue of Grand Morritt's featuresmessages from Mr. Bowen, and the Tortuga Club's General Manager,Michael Espeut. There is a feature article on Cayman's past andpresent by well-known local writer, Gretchen Allen; an articleby Mrs. Salvi on romantic weddings in paradise, accompanied bya striking photograph of newlyweds Woody and Nicole Foster, anda photo essay on the breathtaking faces of Morritt's by DavidWolfe. Copies of the magazine are available through Sommet Publishingand Marketing. Mrs. Salvi is also the magazine's Advertising Director.
The magazine, which will serve as a direct marketing tool forthe some 40,000 people who annually visit Morritt's Tortuga Club,the largest single importer of tourists to the Cayman Islands.It will also be distributed through Morritt's stateside officesin Florida, as well as being mailed to Tortuga Club time-sharemembers, and Cayman Islands Department of Tourism offices throughoutthe world.
Morritt's Tortuga Club and resort is currently undergoing considerableexpansion, and intends to attract some 60,000 individuals annuallyto its facilities over the next several years.
