This week of 20 August to 24 August sawa specialist Dominoes Pizza basketball training camp being runfor children at the Lions Centre.
Some 25 of these youngsters went through the drill at the trainingsessions. One of the coaches, Tony Scott who is also presidentof the Cayman Islands Basketball Association, said they went throughrigorous one-on-one instructions concentrating on the finer techniquesof the game.
He said that this camp emerged from earlierDominoes Pizza training programmes this summer when it becameobvious that some of these were far more advanced in the gamethan others owing to either practice and playing with other olderpersons or simply watching moves on television.
Those players were picked for this week'scamp that was more like an advanced training course.
