Ariel Whitaker
Fifteen-year old Ariel Whittaker, son ofAngela and Val Whittaker and brother of famous track and fieldstar Cydonnie Mothersill, is a soft-spoken but energetic and talentedyoung man. At his early age he has come a far way and by all accountsthere is much more to go. Ariel has been a basketball player fortwo years now, known locally and internationally, having madea number of tours to other countries bouncing ball for the TarheelsTeam and Under Seventeen National Team.
"The experience has been so far veryexciting and through this sport I get the opportunity to visitother countries," he said.
It almost goes without saying that Arielenjoys being involved in the sport of basketball. This youngstersays the chemistry and team spirit among players do add up tovery good feelings in the squad. In this regard he singles outhis coach Mr Voot Ogaro who has been an example to all of them.
