350 Say Goodbye to PrimarySchool

George TownPrincipal Marie Martin presents Emily Bodden with the Principal'sTrophy for Academic Excellence.

Some 350 government school students recentlycelebrated the close of their primary school education at prize-givingceremonies across the Islands.

The mood was festive as young people agedten and 11 years accepted awards for effort in academics, sportsas well as other extra-curricular activities.

 

School-leaverLeonardo Bodden, of the Lighthouse School, shows off the CicelyWilcox Prize for Achievement. Leonardo will begin classes at GeorgeHicks High School in the fall.

Appreciative audiences, filled with dignitaries,teachers, family members, friends and community representativesheard students thank those who had contributed to their education.The children also expressed their commitment to building on theirachievements when the school year resumes.
