Extended ReductionPhone Rates
Telephone callers from Cayman now have additionaltime to take advantage of Cable and Wireless' discount offer forcalls made worldwide.
The company has said that the offer, inwhich the phone user cashes in on an average 33 per cent discountby dialling 1010 335 before calling friends or family overseas,is being indefinitely extended beyond the initial 31 July deadline.
This benefit goes to residential customerswho make international direct dial calls costing over $5.
Those customers using 1010 335 will seecalls reduced to as low as 40c per minute when calling the USon the weekend, or to 28 cents if the SmartChoice Talkaway discountcard is used.
For calls to Jamaica the cost drops to 27cents when calling on the weekend, or 19 cents if the SmartChoiceTalkaway discount card is used.
For calls to the UK and the rest of theworld the cost drops to 53 cents on the weekend or 37 cents ifthe Smart-Choice Talkaway card is used.
The discount scheme is part of a Price Reformproposal that the Company presented to Government earlier thisyear.
