Two young participants were at the Public Library's summer readingprogramme which closed July 20.
Children got an opportunity to hear ElderChapman of the Church of Latter Day Saints read the Greek mythof Daedalus and Icarus, who escaped from a tower prison on wingsmade of wax. The theme of this year's programme was flying. Sofor two weeks, the children read books, heard stories and sawvideos about flight.
A year-five class from the Red Bay Primarysummer school centre are at Hurley's Supermarket where they gothrough quick lessons in mathematics. Each student was allowedto make purchases with a $5 limit. The two-week programme continuesthrough July 27.
