Skin Diver Stages a GrandBall

Brian Kinleyof Bob Sotos's Reef Divers and Kathleen Dehan of Red Sail Sportswere crowned Oceanic King and Queen of the Ball.
Skin Diver Magazine hosted the third annualDivemaster's Ball for over 300 dive industry professionals ofthe Cayman Islands.
The appreciation party was held at the newlyre-opened "My Bar" of Sunset House in Grand Cayman onSaturday, July 13.
It was a fun-filled evening of food, libations,and live music. Sunset House's "My Bar" made for a perfectsetting for the party as the new renovations have the bar lookingbigger and better than ever.
Complimentary drinks and beautiful buffet dinner were served toall attendees. Body & Soul provided great music that had everyonedancing.
Even the founding father of Cayman diving,Bob Soto attended the party as well as Cayman dive pioneers ArthleEvans, Peter Milburn, Ron Kipp, Stuart Freeman, and Dan Tibbetts.
This was the third straight year for theDivemaster's Ball. Guy Miller and Neal Sanders of Skin Diver Magazinestated that the party was a huge success. "We have so manypeople to thank for such a great evening; in the Cayman Islands,Dennis and Greg at Divers Supply, Keith Sahm and all the staffof Sunset House, Jacques Scott & Co., CITA, and the CaymanIslands Department of Tourism.
We also want to recognize Divers Alert Network,Oceanic, PADI, Genesis, BARE, Aqualung, and SeaVision Dive Masksfor their gracious contributions. Most of all we want to thankthe hard working dive professionals of the Cayman Islands thatcontinue to make it a No. 1 dive destination."
The night was capped off with the crowningof the Oceanic King and Queen of the Ball. Nominees were selectedfrom several dive shops.
Competition was fierce but the undisputedwinners were selected.
Mr. Brian Kinley of Bob Soto's Reef Diverswas chosen as King and Mrs. Kathleen Dehan of Red Sail Sportswas crowned the Queen.
Each winner received a complete set of newscuba diving gear supplied by Oceanic as well as a weekend getawayto Little Cayman provided Island Air and Southern Cross Club plustheir picture in Skin Diver Magazine.
