Ten lucky Cable & Wireless customersrecently won Nokia 3320 cellular phones as a result of participatingin the Internet Cricket Promotion, which coincided with the 2002Cricket Series.
As part of the promotion, Cable & Wirelessoffered to waive the sign-up fee on dialup or ADSL Internet pricingplans (with dial-up valued at $35 and ADSL valued at $120). Customerswho signed up for Internet during the period 1 May to 30 Junewere entered into a prize drawing, from which 100 prizes weregiven away throughout Cable & Wireless West Indies.
Winning customers were given the optionof a free Nokia 3320 mobile phone or an ADSL High Speed Internetmodem. All persons winning within the Cayman Islands chose thepopular 3320 Nokia cell phone which is usually sold for CI$263.The give-away modem, an Alcatel SpeedTouch USB ADSL Modem, sellsfor CI$189.
