Triple C Holda Slick Red Bay

It was a slick Red Bay Primary School Teamthat set out to humble the fancied Triple C School in anothergroup 'A' Pee Wee soccer encounter last Saturday morning at theTriple C School.

They outplayed Triple C, tackled hard, andwere brilliant in the air, but were held to a one-all draw.

How the Red Bay attacking players JordanThompson, Raheem Robinson and Courtney Myles did not score inthe first half was a mystery.

Triple C defence of Frank Gayle, Mark Ebanksand Paul Michael O'Connor had more work to do than usual.

Head coach Alban Ruiz said to his boys athalf time, "They are doing everything better than us. Weare getting scared. The best way to not get kicked is to passthe ball around. They are tackling hard and they will continueto tackle hard so let's get that straight."

Jordan Thompson received thepass and made a brilliant solo run to beat Christopher Robertsin the Triple C goal. It was an outburst of joy from the Red Bayfans. Had Roberts not decided to stand up to the Red Bay teammore goals would have been scored.

Minutes before the end Alejandro Ruiz stunnedthe Red Bay supporters when he fired in a powerful shot from theright side of the goal. The ball deflected off a Red Bay playerand into the net to tie the score at 1-1.

Not long after that referee Winston ChungFah blew the final whistle.
