Ritz-Carltonon course for 2003 Opening
Managers of the Ritz-Carlton Hotel Companysay the Grand Cayman Resort is on schedule to open in the fourthquarter of 2003 along Seven Mile Beach.
Situated on 144 acres extending from SevenMile Beach to the North Sound, including five acres of white-sandbeachfront property, the Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman will feature365 guestrooms including 66 suites and the Ritz-Carlton Suite;four dining outlets; a nine-hole golf course designed by GregNorman; and a 20,000-square-foot full-service Spa, Salon and FitnessCenter.
The Ritz-Carlton Club level, accessibleby elevator key only, features a private lounge with five complimentaryfood and beverage presentations daily. The resort is located just10 minutes from Owen Roberts International Airport and the GeorgeTown commercial center
ORION Group will develop and own the 365-roomresort and the integrated 71-unit Residences at the Ritz-Carltonfacility. Both the resort and the Residences at the Ritz-Carlton,Grand Cayman will be managed by the Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company.The resort will be the company's fifth Ritz-Carlton Caribbeanproperty.
A focal point of the property will be theResidences at the Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman with 71 units availableand floor plans ranging from 2,411 to 6,304 square feet. Residentswill enjoy all the services and amenities the Ritz-Carlton offers.Expansive views of the ocean or lagoon will be available fromall guestrooms and Residences.
In addition to the golf course, recreationalfacilities will include two outdoor pools and a variety of watersportactivities. The Spa, Salon & Fitness Center will feature completeworkout facilities and fitness programs, men and women's lockerrooms, sophisticated spa and massage services with separate treatmentrooms, and a beauty salon. A retail promenade will also be locatedat the beachfront resort.
